About Me

You can be someone’s reason to smile. Give a little, help a lot.

Welcome to my About Me page. I graduated from CSUN with Honors and Magna Cum Laude in May of 2024. My degree is a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Business Law. Alongside my academic pursuits, I am proud to be one of the original founders of a local homeless ministry.

My journey began at the age of 14 when I started baking fancy cupcakes and crafting encouraging notes to brighten the days of those less fortunate. This initial act of kindness soon evolved into a broader initiative, encompassing sack lunches, hygiene kits, clothing, books, and toys for children. Prior to the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic, I actively distributed care packages to homeless individuals in North Hills, Thousand Oaks, and Skid Row.

As the pandemic took hold, the scope of my service expanded significantly. What began as cupcake and sandwich distributions grew into a full-fledged pantry, capable of distributing up to 8,000 lbs of food on a weekly basis. Additionally, with the invaluable assistance of fellow volunteers, we assembled and distributed thousands of goodie bags to uplift residents in nursing homes, essential workers in the medical field, and firefighters. As the pandemic gradually receded, the pantry operations naturally came to a close. However, I continue to distribute hundreds of goodie bags filled with treats, socks, and toiletries. Furthermore, I engage in the distribution of blankets, clothes, and other essential items, all while actively participating in outreach programs in Skid Row. To further support my cause, I actively participate in various fundraisers dedicated to assisting those in need.

My ultimate aspiration is to become a lawyer, as it would enable me to pursue my passion for helping others on a larger scale. In pursuit of this dream, I have set my sights on attending Law School in 2024. I am thrilled to share that I have already received acceptance letters from nine Law Schools and have been waitlisted at four others. Update: I am currently attending Loyola Marymount Law School in Los Angeles.

If you are interested in contributing your time to assemble goodie bags, participate in food distribution, or donate items that would be valuable additions to our goodie bags such as playing cards, toiletries, or small gift cards for coffee or fast-food establishments, please feel free to contact me at moriah.foreman.762@gmail.com. Your support would be greatly appreciated.
