10 Years of Service. A Lifetime of Lessons. And a New Chapter Ahead.

It is hard to put into words what it means to see the ministry that I helped establish as one of its original three founding members now entering its 10th year.

What began as a desire to help others has grown into a decade of service, compassion, generosity, and countless moments that I will carry with me for the rest of my life. Over the years, I have learned that sometimes the smallest acts of kindness can leave the greatest impression.

At our recent outreach, I spent time drawing little pictures of dogs on individual zip-lock bags filled with dog food. It was a simple and personal touch, but to me, that is what service is about. It is about looking beyond the item you are giving and remembering the person receiving it. It is about letting someone know, even in a small way, “Someone was thinking about you.”

A drawing on a bag may only take a few seconds, but that small gesture might bring a smile to someone’s face on a difficult day. And sometimes, that is enough.

As this ministry celebrates 10 years, I am also stepping into a new chapter of my own. My focus is now turning toward establishing my career in the legal field and building a professional future where I can continue to grow, learn, and make a meaningful contribution.

I know that the experiences I have gained through a decade of serving others will follow me into my career. The ability to listen, communicate, organize, collaborate, solve problems, pay attention to the smallest details, and most importantly, treat every person with dignity and compassion are lessons that no classroom alone can teach.

I am proud of where this journey has taken me, grateful for the people who have walked beside me, and excited for where the road ahead will lead.

Ten years of ministry has taught me that a life of purpose is built one person, one act of kindness, and one small gesture at a time.

As I begin this next chapter in the legal field, I hope to carry that same spirit of purpose with me. Because no matter where life takes us or what profession we choose, there will always be opportunities to make a difference.

And sometimes, all it takes is a little drawing of a dog on a bag of food to remind someone that they matter. ❤️
